Robert L. Christiansen, Sr. 71, of Marblehead, died Friday, July 1, surrounded by his family at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky. He was born August 9, 1944, in Port Clinton, the son of Elmer and Beatrice (Nason) Christiansen. He married Janice “Missy” McNeil on September 4, 1982, and she survives. Bob had a passion for scrapping and enjoyed spending time with the family and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife: Missy; children: Barbara (Erwin) Behrend of Parma, OH, Dawn (Jerry) Mortus of Chapin, SC, Robert L. (Brittany) Christiansen, Jr. of Catawba Island, David Christiansen of Marblehead, James Christiansen of Marblehead, John Christiansen of Catawba Island, Jamie Christiansen of Bellevue; twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Eugene Christiansen of Massachusetts, Michael (Christina) Christiansen of Port Clinton; sisters: Kathy Rhoda of Marblehead, Sandra (Charles) Mullens of Port Clinton, Mary Kennedy of Marblehead, Anne (Dean) Rader of Tiro, OH and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law: Joyce Christiansen and brother-in-law: Al Kennedy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead where visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the family. Judy Davidson, born Judith Ann Bergman on October 18, 1939 in Port Clinton, passed away May 25, at home in Sequim, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ulmont and Mary (Boeshart) Bergman. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Ken Davidson, sister Jeanne Schroeder, brothers Jim and John Bergman, sons Mark and Dave Allen, stepdaughters Annette Whidney and Heidi Davidson-Howie, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1957. She worked at the Island House and Lakeland Motel as manager and was the vice president of Island Airlines.

She was officer of Port Clinton Women’s Club, President of Mental Health and Recovery Board of Erie and Ottawa Counties and she served on the Board of Directors and as treasurer of the State of Ohio Mental Health Board.

Graveside services were held June 25 at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton.

He was born October 17, 1947, in Port Clinton, the son of Rollan ”Bones” and Marie “Cotton” (Walker) Slauterbeck. He is survived by his soul mate of 24 years, April Schanke. Chuck had a passion for fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father and grandfather to 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jeanne “Billie” Brinkman, 63, of Huber Heights, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 8, at Tall Timbers Campground in Port Clinton. Jeanne was born on August 21, 1952, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha (VanLandingham) Murphy. Jeanne retired from Miller Brewing Company in 2005. Jeanne enjoyed crafts and camping with family and friends. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading and going on long golf cart rides.

On June 27, 2014, Jeanne was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that was inoperable and incurable. With strong will, positive thoughts and her prayer warriors, Jeanne was able to beat the odds and stayed with us all much longer than anyone could have imagined. She had the power and positivity to fight like a girl!

She leaves behind a loving partner of 38 years, Peggy VanVleet and their fur babies Sassee and Sara. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Murphy.

She is survived by her son, Andy (Carly) Brinkman of Troy, OH; granddaughters, Abby and Emily Brinkman; nieces Regina (Michael) Fewer and Jennifer (Sam) Cox; Great nephews, Brandon Fewer, Samuel and Nathan Cox and great niece Katelyn Fewer.

She is also survived by extended family, son, Mark (Gretchen) Perkins; grandsons Gabriel and Cody Perkins and John Kristof; brother, Bill Albert; sisters, Marsha Albert, Chris Manning and “little sis” Kathy (Lonnie) Wright as well as longtime friends Bud and Linda Townley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Research or take a loved one to dinner and share a special memory.

Jeanne A. Wonnell, 92, of Port Clinton, passed away Tuesday, July 12, at Commons of Providence Assisted Living, Sandusky. Jeanne was born on December 4, 1923, in Catawba Island, the daughter of Basil and Pearl (Klenk) Stevens. She graduated from Robinwood Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 in Toledo and became a Registered Nurse. Jeanne was the head school nurse for Port Clinton City Schools, retiring in 1987. On October 2, 1947, in Port Clinton, she married, Gerald W. Wonnell and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2006. Jeanne was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church…

Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 Children: David (Donna) Wonnell, Daniel (Jane) Wonnell and Susan (Dennis) Charvat; Grandchildren: Sarah Wonnell and Abigail Wonnell, Daniel (Megan) Wonnell and Stephanie (Nate) Wonnell and Laura (Britani) Charvat and Jennifer (Brent) Small and Sister-In-Law: Sue Stevens. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Robert and Warren Stevens.

JoAnn L. LaBine, 57, of Port Clinton, passed away, Thursday, July 21, at the Luther Home of Mercy, surrounded by her loving family. JoAnn was born May 6, 1959, in Port Clinton, the daughter of Joseph J. and Alana L. (Simon) LaBine.

A memorial service was conducted by Pastor Denise Brown at 10 a.m., Monday, July 25, at the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., Williston, OH  43468. Interment followed at 2 p.m., in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial donations in memory of JoAnn be given to the Luther Home of Mercy or Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St., Port Clinton, OH  43452. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory has assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Luther Home of Mercy for all the love, care and kindness given to JoAnn for the last 5 years.
