John M. Ludu, 49, of Port Clinton died Sunday morning, August 28, at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1967, in Chula Vista, CA. John worked for many years at several of the local marinas. John loved everything about the 80's, especially the movies and music. Movies such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Back to the Future, Vacation, Planes, Trains and Automobiles. He loved these movies so much that he tended to watch them very often. John served many years as an altar boy at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kelleys Island. John is survived by his lifetime partner, Kimberly S. Gray Ludu of Port Clinton; daughter, Dana M. Ludu of Memphis, TN; sisters, Barbara Ann Kunselman of Greenville, PA, and Sharon Torrey of Huron, OH; brothers, Robert G. Torrey of Memphis, TN, and Michael D. Ludu of Tuscon, AZ; niece, Kelli (Robert) Alexander; nephews, James Kunselman, Jonathan (Emily) Lindberg, Jacob Lindberg, Jared (Danielle) Lindberg and Joseph Lindberg; as well as three great nieces.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved canines Nina, Aiden, and Wen.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna M. Ludu on April 19, 2006; and father, John Ludu Jr. on November 30, 1993.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m., September 2, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kelleys Island. Burial will be in Kelleys Island Cemetery.
