Michael D. Holmes, M.D., 68, of Lakeside-Marblehead, and McCormick, South Carolina, died Tuesday, June 20, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born in Sandusky in 1948.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret (Dale) and Ernest Raymond Holmes. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, three children, Matthew (Amy), Trevor (Stacy), and Abigail (Loic), and one brother, John. He also enjoyed being with his seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place in McCormick, South Carolina in the fall. Donations may be made to Ohio Wesleyan University, Feeding America, or the McCormick United Methodist Church in South Carolina.
